I am the manager for Penns Trail Self Storage. We have been members of the NBA since we opened in 2010. In those 6 years we have become involved in the community. I have served on the board since 2012. I also participate in the committees for several events such as Welcome Day, the Antique & Classic Car Show and the Expo, as well as donating out time and services as needed. Since being on the board, I have taken over as membership chairman, Expo co-chair, and Business Card chairperson. On a personal level, I have participated in several 3-day 60-mile walks for breast cancer and donate a lot of time and resources for charitable causes.

I joined the Newtown Business Association in 1999, and served on the NBA Board from 2005 until 2014, when I was elected Treasurer. As Treasurer I reviewed and provided monthly financial reports of the association to the NBA Board. I have served on the Executive, Membership and Welcome Day Committees of the NBA, and have been involved in many other community organizations, including the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, Newtown Chamber Orchestra (Board Member) and the Bucks County Bankers Association. I am a 30+ year resident of Bucks County and would be honored to serve again on the NBA Board and as NBA Treasurer.

Scott Fegley – For Board Member
I have been a member of the NBA since 2006 and a Board member since 2010. I have a law practice, the Fegley Law Firm, in Yardley, PA, but I have been active in the Newtown community through the NBA and other organizations for many years. In the NBA, I have served on the Holiday Parade, Breakfast Meetings, and By-Laws committees. I have assisted the Board with assuring proper insurance coverage for NBA events and given Board members legal counsel on several issues including political speech at NBA events. Recently, I proposed and created a new NBA scholarship program providing scholarships to high school seniors living in Newtown who are going on to study business and entrepreneurship in college. I look forward to serving the NBA and its members for another term.

Ken Ogborn – For Board Member
Over the last five years I have served as an active member of the board for the Newtown Business Association, including Vice President for 2015 and 2016. During that time, I have co-chaired Welcome Day and have been an active member in other committees within the Newtown Business Association. In 2015 to present I have acted as committee chair for the Breakfast Meetings, as we changed the format and locations to provide our members additional opportunities to showcase their businesses and network with local businesses in the Newtown area. During my tenure on the board, I took on the responsibility for bidding out, awarding and overseeing the complete rework of our website. This project took over a year to complete and is now fully functional both for computers and mobile devices. While we continue to update and improve the functionality of the website, I continue to be the webmaster for our website, helping to maintain all of the data and updates necessary. As an active member within the community, I have decided to run for a board position again for 2018. I joined the NBA 9 years ago when I opened Action Karate as the Enrollment Director and Owner. I believe Newtown is a great place to work and play and feel that my qualifications and background will help the organization grow stronger in supporting Newtown!

Leigh-Sheek-Vogel – For Board Member
I have been a member of the NBA since 1999 and a board member since 2000. My involvement in the NBA has offered a great sense of pride as I have witnessed our membership grow from 30 members to well over 300. I have been the NBA marketing coordinator for over 17 years, creating a consistent brand of quality and dedication to businesses and community that I consider the core of the NBA. Areas of involvement include helping to start the first Welcome Day by leading the Arts Festival component in an effort to bring fine art to Newtown. In addition to marketing NBA events such as the Auto Show, Expo, Easter Egg Hunt, Welcome day and the Holiday Parade, I also provide overall strategy for marketing membership and products that benefit our members. This includes producing the Newtown Community Guide and Business Directory, shared advertising options in our local paper, Newtown retail maps and others. I am also the Sponsorship chair and, to that end, I set up the annual marketing benefits for each event and other means of exposure for members who chose to join our Partnership program. I have been in the communications field for over 34 years and a graduate of University of Pennsylvania’s, Annenberg School of Communications.

Craig Turet – For Board Member
I am a partner in the Yardley office of Curtin & Heefner LLP, one of the oldest and largest Bucks County-based law firms. Focusing my practice on commercial and employment-related litigation, I have assisted clients with claims of tortious interference with contract, breach of fiduciary duty, partnership dissolution, violations of restrictive covenants, thefts of trade secrets, and fraudulent transfers of assets, among others. In addition to litigating disputes, I provide guidance to small and mid-sized business clients to help them avoid the burden and expense of litigation. I am admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and work closely with clients on both sides of the river.

Originally from New York State, I have been a Philadelphia-area resident since attending the University of Pennsylvania Law School more than 30 years ago. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in a number of charitable and civic organizations, including the March of Dimes, for which I have served as member of the regional Board of Directors for the past 10 years (including a term as Vice Chair), and for which I have helped to coordinate the Bucks County “March for Babies” for many years. Although Curtin & Heefner has been a member of the Newtown Business Association for a number of years, I became actively involved a couple of years ago, have served as a member of the Business Expo Committee and have agreed to serve as Co-Chair of the Business Expo event in 2018. I welcome an opportunity to serve the NBA as a Board member in the future.
