Last year's Bookin' for Lookin' race was met with inclement weather. However, blustery cold winds and constant rain did not stop our participants and volunteers from coming out and supporting our cause. At the conclusion of the event, we were able to donate $6,000 to two organizations!
We are excited to inform you of our upcoming seventh annual Bookin’ for Lookin’ community race – an event that encourages runners of all ages to “book it” to promote awareness and raise money for the important cause of preventing blindness! The seventh annual Bookin’ for Lookin’ will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Newtown, Pennsylvania at 8:00 am.
This year, changes are coming! First, we are proud to become part of the Bucks 5K Series, which consists of seven races throughout the county. Each race benefits a local non-profit. More information can be found at: bucks5kseries.com. Second, we are moving the start/finish line in front of the Newtown Theater! Third, this race will be a 5K and one mile fun run only, thus eliminating the 8 miler. Fourth, our post race celebration will take place in the parking lot behind Isaac Newton's where participants and volunteers will enjoy a complimentary beer and gratuitous breakfast. Fifth, all 5K finishers will receive a finisher medal. We are ecstatic about these changes!
It is with great pleasure that we offer your organization an opportunity to join us as a valued sponsor of Bookin’ for Lookin’. This event will promote awareness and raise money for two organizations: Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (www.bucksblind.org) and Guiding Eyes for the Blind (www.guidingeyes.org). Your contribution will continue to help finance and support services needed to help visually-impaired and blind individuals become valuable and independent individuals.
Please see the following page for sponsorship opportunities.
We thank you in advance for your time and consideration. The initial deadline for securing sponsorship is March 1, 2019. In case of any questions, please feel free to contact me.
