Action Karate Newtown                             
Our classes develop respect, concentration, courtesy, and self-discipline as well as building confidence and self-esteem.  Honesty is the golden rule and positivity is a key factor in our school.   Action Karate offers Leadership Training for kids, teens and adults.  Martial Arts is ideal for children who participate in team sports, by enhancing the physical skills and developing the mental discipline required to excel in their chosen activity.  With its structured training techniques and positive feedback, the Martial Arts is recommended for children with special needs.

Batala Philadelphia Brazilian Percussion Band
Batala Philadelphia is part of the larger Batala global arts project of 40 bands and over 1200 drummers worldwide.  We often travel and get together to perform all over the world.  Here is a clip of 200 drummers in London last summer for notting Hill Carnival:    We play the genre of music called Samba Reggae from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

BC Discoveries Dance & Theatre
BC Discoveries Dance & Theater Arts Company (BCDTA) is a high energy, performance based program where students receive quality instruction as well as performance opportunities. Offering Classes in Dance (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Dance Theater, Pointe), Acting & Voice. Whether an individual wishes to sing, dance or act, BCDTA Co. has it all. BCDTA is a unique program where students, parents and faculty are like family. Student-performers choose from a variety of art disciplines and aspire to their individual goals. Ultimately a diverse group of talent levels (beginning-advanced) join together to perform, as one, in our fully staged spring musical theater production.

BCX is a group of Bucks & Montgomery County musicians with a love of Classic Rock & Original Music.  NBA President Bill Sheffer and Board member Fred Poritsky are two of the band's members!

Council Rock North High School Choir
Singing has the ability to transform lives: the lives of those who listen to music as well as those who participate in its performance. Musicians at Council Rock High School North experience significant personal growth and development through exposure to high quality choral music. By refining choral and vocal skills, students are offered opportunities for self-expression, aesthetic awareness and the constant challenge of striving for excellence. It is this challenge that inspires everything we do.

Courtney Colletti and Stan Slotter Band
Courtney and Stan will perform popular Mariachi songs that you’ll want to sing along with!  Courtney Colletti  is one of Bucks County’s most highly regarded, in-demand, and versatile talents. He has been a full-time musician since he was nineteen. He plays guitar, banjo, flute, bass and sings, and whenever he sings or plays, something very wonderful happens. He is known for enchanting audiences with his warm, playful, and heartfelt musicianship.  On top of all this, he's a songwriter with major label and television credits, a character voice for commercials, a stage and screen actor, and a stand-up comic.  Sponsored by On Demand Programs and Events.

Dance Action of Newtown                                 
Our staff comprises professional and dance educated instructors. We instruct children at a level of learning that is both fun and technical. We do not use inappropriate songs during any class or recital and all of our costumes are appropriate with no cutouts or bellies showing. Recitals are ONE DAY ONLY and Videotaping is allowed at Recital!! Our instructors are all dedicated to your child’s growth as a dancer.  During the 2016-2017 dance year, the studio performed at many local and regional venues and we believe in giving back to our community.

Greater Kensington String Band             
This Mummers band returns to Newtown to perform at Welcome Day.  Since 1946, the Greater Kensington String Band has been a totally volunteer organization that also enjoys participation in the world famous Mummers Parade on New Year's Day in Philadelphia.The Greater Kensington String Band was organized in 1946 and first marched in the New Year’s Day Mummers Parade in 1948.  The band has marched in impressive parades throughout the country including, among many others, the Miss America Parade and a command performance at Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. They've even performed in Hong Kong, during a Chinese New Year Parade!

Jeff Dershin
Jeff Dershin has spent four decades as an entertainer and music teacher.  A versatile and engaging pianist and vocalist with an extensive repertoire, Jeff has played at countless private and public events. He has been an “Artist-in-Residence” in the local school system.  Jeff has toured Europe with the seminal rock/fusion band Sweet Smoke; accompanied Pat Benatar and Patty Smyth; served on the faculties of public and private schools; directed musical plays both in schools and off-Broadway; and has written original music (traditional and electronic) for theater, dance and film.  He currently performs in and around the Philadelphia area, while keeping a busy teaching schedule at his studio in Bucks County.  Sponsored by On Demand Programs and Events.

Magic with Mike Miller
Mike Miller, as seen on the cover of The Society of American Magicians, M.U.M. magazine, is internationally know for his entertaining skills as well as his backstage talents helping hundreds of magicians perform for many magic conventions, world wide.  Mike, a master magician and illusionist, combines magical effects with his imaginative sense of humor. The results being a delightfully clever program that you will remember for a long time to come. After seeing the show there will be no doubt in your mind that deception can be fun.

Marc Sherman
Mr. Marc Sherman has been entertaining in the Philadelphia area for over 50 years.  Educated in piano and voice at Temple University’s College of Music, Mr. Sherman taught music in the Philadelphia School District, recorded music with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and early in his career, sang with Duke Ellington’s band.  He sings in eight languages and performs music from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s; Broadway show tunes; classical piano solos; Sinatra standards; and singalong favorites.  Sponsored by On Demand Programs and Events.

Newtown Arts Company
A Tradition of Live Theatre and Scholarships in Bucks County Since 1983, Newtown Arts Company is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the theatre arts in the heart of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This mission is accomplished through the production of family-friendly live theatre, the granting of scholarships and the development of theatre arts education for area residents. Newtown Arts Company is committed to entertaining and moving audiences, as well as to offering an inclusive and inspiring creative experience to volunteers, both on stage and behind the scenes.  In addition to staging theatrical productions, Newtown Arts Company fosters an appreciation for and involvement in the performing and fine arts through channels including:Annual Scholarship Awards and STARS OF TOMORROW.  Performances by Newtown Arts Company members at area events including Newtown's Welcome Day.

Newtown Chamber Orchestra
The Newtown Chamber Orchestra is proud to be among the excellent arts organizations contributing to the rich cultural tradition of Bucks County.  Founded in 1990 by Russell Hoffmann, Milton Schwartz. M.D.  and Craig Smith, the Orchestra offers a selection of classical music repertoire suited to small orchestra.  The ensemble of professional musicians is joined by local and internationally known soloists to present works from Baroque to Contemporary.  In keeping with its mission to educate and entertain the public in the art of classical music, speakers introduce performances with relevant music “notes.”  Also, NCO promotes new chamber orchestra works by contemporary composers, features soloists, and encourages young musicians throughout the area with its annual youth programs.

Newtown School of Music
Newtown School of Music founder Russell Faith was a composer, arranger, lyricist, record producer, conductor, vocal coach, pianist, guitarist!  As a songwriter, Russell wrote for Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughn, Andrea McArdle, Frankie Avalon, Jose Feliciano, the Four Aces, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Annette Funicello, the Four Freshman, Fabian and a host of other notable recording artists.   Russell also penned a number of motion picture theme songs and soundtrack hits, the most memorable being Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.  As a teenager, he began writing songs, eventually composing tunes for the likes of Frank Sinatra, Frankie Avalon and Sarah Vaughan. For more than 40 years, he gave singing lessons at his Newtown School of Music, watching his students go on to careers on Broadway and in Hollywood.  Russell Faith passed away on September 1, 2004.

Rendition Jazz Band
Rendition Jazz Band is a rag-tag collection of musicians from the local community who love to make great music for the public to enjoy. We come from all walks of life, some retired and some still not ready to quit their day jobs.  Sponsored by FZP Digital.

Riley Irish Dance
At Riley Irish Dance, dancers learn Solo Step Dancing as well as Traditional Ceili Dances.  From basic movements through more advance data levels, the art of Irish Dance is taught with precision and Grace.  Our goal is to provide every student with a fun and positive learning atmosphere.

School of Rock Newtown                        
The National Leader in Music Education. School of Rock is the original performance based, interactive music school founded in Philadelphia in 1998. The Bucks County branch has been helping kids get in touch with their inner rock star since 2004.

Steven Pollack
Steve Pollack is a vocalist, lecturer, actor, dancer, DJ, and emcee based in the greater Philadelphia area.  He has had an extensive career as a performer in both opera and musical theater, appearing in leading roles from Boston to Washington.  He has done both tenor and baritone roles and has performed extensively in concert, recital, cabaret and pop venues. As a director, he has been involved in productions of opera, musical theater and plays.  He is a music teacher and vocal coach and his students have earned success as performers at Carnegie Hall, the New School of Music at NYU and regional opera companies.  Sponsored by On Demand Programs and Events.

At the Old Presbyterian Church:
Colonial reenactment militia, the 1st Crossing Volunteers
This Colonial re-enactment militia will appear at the Old Presbyterian Church on North Sycamore Street.  There will be an encampment with tents, campfire cooking and musket firing demonstrations plus  a cannon on display.
